The Great Jack O’ Lantern Blaze!
I know, I know! Pumpkin patches are more of an October thing, but since it’s still considered “Fall season” mind as well visit one while it’s still open!
We were definitely not prepared for the weather that day! It went from 48°F the day before to 39°F!! New York is apparently going to be expecting it’s for snow fall this week, and I’m not too thrilled…
Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love the snow and I’m sure most people would think that snow in NYC is the most romantic scenario ever (not that I blame you since that’s how it’s portrayed in the movies). Unless you’re in upstate NY where there’s more trees and wildlife, snow in the city means the roads are full of brown, slipper slush!
Not so romantic, huh? 😂
Anyways! We went to this beautiful “pumpkin patch” with around 7,000 hand-carved, illuminated pumpkins!
Let me illiterate what I just said. EVERYTHING. IS. A. PUMPKIN!!
There were some displays where we just couldn’t believe was sculpted with 100% pumpkin!
It was a pretty romantic walk while looking at all the pretty creations! It helps that there were NO other lights in the field other than the ones illuminated by the pumpkins.
They also had these super cool panels of the Astrological signs! (Sorry some photos aren’t head-on! It was pretty crowded around this area.)
I know this post is pretty jam-packed with photos, but I really wanted to capture and remember everything that I saw that night!
I think I’ll end the post with the sculpture that just screams New York LOL!
I hope you enjoyed all the photos I took even though some are honestly very terrible!!
